Host Requirements for Softball Nationals
Slow-Pitch: Second or Third week of July,Wednesday to Saturday, Sunday rain day. Check-in and Opening Ceremonies on Wednesday.
Tournament will have 7 age groups - Shetland thru Palomino.
Estimated teams per age group 15 Shetland, 25 Pinto, All available teams Mustang to Palomino - Total 80 to 90 teams.
Fields required 12 several can be small fields. All must be lighted. They do not have to be at one location.
Cost: $9,000.00 Directors fee and all awards.
$200.00 licensing fee per age group if a Photographer is used.
$100.00 licensing fee for all other use of PONY Names and Marks.
$9,400.00 - Umpire cost based on 260 games. $36 per game.
25 Hotels rooms for Directors from Tuesday thru Saturday. Many of these should be donated and can be in different Hotels.
6 Golf Carts for use during Tournament. This could change based of field layout.
Cost of Opening Ceremonies.
Income Potential: Estimated minimum per team $400.00.
80 teams at $400=$32,000.00 90 teams at $400=$36,000.00
Gate fees: $25 per adult Tournament Pass 17-62 or $10 per day.
$15 ages 7-16 and over 62 Tournament Pass or $8 per day.
Free 6 and under.
Other Income Sources:
Donations from Sponsors, Advertising in Program, Sale of Programs, Concessions, Shirts, Hats, Leased Booths to other vendors, and sale of other Tournament Products.

Other Requirements for Both Tournaments
Space for Check-in of Teams and Coaches Meeting on Wednesday. 11 to 4.
Medical Staff on site for all games. EMS from Fire Dept.
Field Maintenance and upkeep during Tournament.
Security during Tournament.
Food and Drinks for Directors and Umpires during Games.
Space for Umpires to get out of heat and keep equipment.
Space for Directors to get out of heat and hold meetings.
Provide volunteers to keep score, keep water in all dugouts at all times,
Pick up trash, work concessions, collect gate.
Provide scorebooks and pencils for each field. 2 books per field.
Provide Hotel list and contact numbers with rates for teams.
Host gets team berth in all Age Groups.
Pony Provides:
All Awards
Handles the operation and supervision of Tournament in all areas.
Handles all check-in.
Assists with Opening Ceremonies.
Provides Softballs
Handles all scheduling and dealings with teams.
Pony will provide guidance for the host in putting on a successful Tournament for all. All monies are not due up front and we work with the host closely for the 6 months prior to the tournament.
